BITDEFENDER WINDOWS 8 SECURITY - INSTALLATION & TRIAL RESET TOOL GUIDELINES:

In order to ensure that your BitDefender 2013 security product is installed and activated correctly, please follow the instructions below:

1. Download & install Bitdefender Bitdefender Windows 8 Security from the appropriate direct links above.

2. Register and activate your MyBitdefender account.

NOTE:

If you are using Windows 8 with UEFI BIOS, then you have to restart the PC every time you want to reset the trial date. Furthermore, I have received reports from some WBB members that even though they had applied the T/R Tool v1.6 by BBs, BD-W8S would be returning to trial status after updating it. Should this happen, it is recommended to reboot the PC and in most of the cases the issue will be automatically solved. Nevertheless, it is worth mentioning that BD-W8S will continue working in trial status for a period of one month as a fully-fledged product without any limitation including on-lines updates. Polylak. 3. Download the Trial Reset v.1.6 by BBs Tool ("BD2013TR_1.6.rar") in your desktop from:

4. Boot into Windows Safe Mode and run "BD2013.TR.Setup-BBs.exe". When the GUI of the Trial Reset pops up, choose and click the "Install Autoreset" button to install the auto trial reset function.



5. Restart your PC in Windows Normal Mode. If BD-W8S still shows in trial condition (30 days left) you have to reboot the PC again (Normal Mode to Normal Mode) and BD-W8S should then show a registered period of about +22500 days.

6. Whenever you update BD-W8S (after patching it with the T/R Tool v1.6 by BBs), BD-W8S returns to trial condition but as soon as you reboot the PC the registration status of BD-W8S is automatically reinstated, i.e.: the number days registered by T/R Tool v1.6 by BBs).

7. Optional check: Advance the system clock a month and verify if it is working fine.

NOTE:

IT IS WORTH MENTIONING THAT THE T/R TOOL v1.6 BY BBs IS SAFE AND CLEAN IF IT IS DOWNLOADED FROM THE LINKS FURNISHED ABOVE.

Some AVs may detect the T/R Tool v1.6 by BBs as a trojan / virus / backdoor / malware / etc. but such possible circumstance is called "FALSE POSITIVE".

After the T/R Tool v1.6 by BBs has been run in Windows Safe Mode, it sets BitDefender to expire in about 22600 days depending on if you did so on the same day when you had installed your BitDefender security product. After each day has elapsed since you have run the T/R Tool, the registered period of your installed BitDefender is reduced in the same extent, i.e.: one day, and so on.






It goes without saying that after running the T/R Tool v1.6 by BBs, you will be still enabled to carry out online updates of your BitDefender security product.

VERY IMPORTANT:

The Trial Reset Tool v.1.6 by BBs ("BD2013TR_1.6.rar") also works for Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2013, Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 and Bitdefender Total Security 2013.

NOTE:

It may happen that after activating BitDefender 2013 security products (not BD Windows 8 Security) through the Trial Reset Tool v.1.6 by BBs, a minor issue could be presented during update procedure when BitDefender 2013 becomes unregistered and shows as a one month trial product though after rebooting the PC, BitDefender 2013 indicates (in most of the cases) a remaining registration period of about 900 (nine hundred) days.
